Import/Export Activity
Import and Export trade activity increased considerably through the ports of Cameron and Hidalgo counties relative to the State of Texas in the third quarter of 2005, compared with the same quarter in 2004. Overall, the ports of Cameron and Hidalgo counties account for about 17 percent of Texas trade activity with Mexico.
