This Certified Public Truck Scale will have easy access from 23rd Street and Ware Road and offers:

- $8.00 for scale rate
The McAllen Foreign Trade Zone will offer additional services including the weight redistribution of cargo onsite in order for trucks to meet the Texas Department of Transportation guidelines. The new facility is open 24/7. The intention is to offer a scale facility closer to the border which allows truckers to verify their loads immediately after crossing the border. Before this facility was opened truckers had to travel to the next closest weigh station before they would find out that they were not legal. This would necessitate the truck having to return to the shipper to redistribute or unload their shipment in order to keep it in compliance.
Also, since the facility is certified legal for trade and is extremely accurate, customers, produce companies, and other bulk commodity companies can rest assured that the weights provided to them are accurate.
